Newbie with some questions - Guild Wars Forums

Ok so I picked up Guild Wars the other day and must say so far I am not let down at all by it. I started playing it last night, taking on all the missions, completing a few and am already at LV5 with my Elementalist character.

My questions are though in regards to the Guild War competitions going on as every so often I see a little message "So and so... blah blah has won the games and reclaiming favor of the gods to america" or something to that effect. Now I have no wish to actually join these battles any time soon... However is it possible to just watch these guilds battle it out? Cause that would be cool to be an audiance to these events.

My other question is as follows, I am sort of being a rogue about things right now, going through killing monsters on my own. I helped Gwen find her broken flute but then gave her a new one and a red flower, she follows me around now, does she actually have any purpose other then dancing around all cute and little girl like? I have also been told by a healer she would give me an item to raise dead members but I need to have someone in my group before she will do this (ally mission) Gwen doesn't seem to count. Are the henchmen I can get to come with me? And if so, where are they hanging out?

Also as an Elementalist, and at lv 5 I am looking for the elementalist in Wizard's Folly to talk to about learning more skills. I found the town but was told Aziure was by a tower... I ended up not finding the tower before I logged off. I'm sure its there, I just am not seeing it.

And in the monk mission I have gained two monk skills temporary... suppose to keep this guy alive but he died before I could reach him but now I can't find his body to click on it and bring him back to life. Any ideas?

1: For the moment you can't but GW is working on it it might not be soon but theyre working on it

2: you need a player to join you for this mission click and click the green plus in part screen or type there names there

1. As far as I know, you can't watch, but I think it would be pretty cool.

2. If you give Gwen a new flute bought from the merchant, she will follow you around and heal you periodically as you fight. If you give her lots of flowers, she will give you a tapestry at some time. As far as I know, no one knows what it is for yet. I'm hanging on to it, just in case.

Killing monsters is good, but if you really want to level, do all the missions and quests you can find. Don't do Sir Tydus' quests (the one that asks if you have all your affairs in order and you can't go back) until last though.

3. Azuire is at the top of the mountain in Wizard's Folly. The other one is in Foible's Fair at the bottom of the mountain.

4. If you have logged out, or moved into another zone, the body will be gone for good. You need to restart the mission. "If this is the Farmer Hammett" mission, it's easier to start from the Abbey. He'll run into EVERY red dot on your map on the way back to Ascalon. A friend REALLY helps with this one.

if that is the keep the monk alive in the catacombs you do not need anybody else along just keep healing him and follow him

if you lose him just click on his name to auto locate and follow

you have to restart the quest if either of you die

Well I never died in the green haze but the munk did and his name vanished off my party list... maybe that means I do have to start over it.

Ah and top of the mountain? I'll have to go up there then and look for Aziure.

Well I keep finding those red flowers but only collected the one and gave it to Gwen, guess I'll have to keep collecting them and giving them to her.
